If You Love God...

Finding The Path to the Greatest Life Possible By Joyce Meyer No one should be satisfied with a mediocre, barely-get-along kind of life. God has great plan for every single person, and I want to encourage you to go for the very best life He has for you. If you want to get to that life, the key is obedience to God and an understanding of His great love for you! I used to have to hide teachings about obedience under a difference title because people honestly get hung up on this word. But I decided I didn't want to hide it anymore, because obedience to God truly is the path to the greatest life possible. But it’s pointless for me to teach you to obey God more without teaching you how to love God more and to let Him Love you. Because the only thing that is truly going to compel you to be obedience is your love for Christ. If you love God… John 14:15 says, If you [really] love me, you will keep (obey) My commands. Notice Jesus didn't say, “If you keep My

Part 2: You can Love Others The Way God Loves You

Read Part 1 , If You Haven't Yet.  By Joyce Meyer 2) LEARNING TO LOVE YOURSELF IN A BALANCE WAY Some people will do all kinds of things for everybody else, but they won’t do anything for themselves. And there’s something wrong with that. They have an unbalanced attitude toward themselves and they don’t really feel like they’re worth anything. We can have negative feelings about ourselves for a lot of different reasons. Maybe you grew up in a home where your parents would never buy you anything or they put you down. Maybe you were abused and you thought it was your fault. God’s love is the best medicine for the wounded soul. For those of you who have been abused or mistreated in life, God loves you. You may not understand why bad things happened to you, but God will cause all things even bad things to work out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (see Romans 8:28). It’s vitally important that you learn to love you

Part 1: You can Love Others The Way God Loves You

By Joyce Meyer Learning how to love people is the most important thing that a Christian should be concerned about. But there’s something we often overlook. You see, after we’re born again, we hear that we should be loving people. Yet, we don’t seem to be able to do it and we think something’s wrong with us. Well, there are other phases of the love walk you have to go through before you can ever get around to loving people. Number one, you really need to have a revelation about how much God loves you. It’s not enough to know about the love of God. You need to receive God’s love through personal experience. Then you have to learn to love yourself. In other words, are you happy with the creation God made you to be? Or have you been trying to rework yourself into what you think the world wants to see? Third, you have to learn how to love God. And loving God means one thing: obedience. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Afte

A Love letter from Jesus

How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love you and care about you.  I saw you fall asleep last night, and I longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your You awakened late this morning and rushed off for the day. My tears were in the rain. Today you looked so sad, so alone; it makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let me down and hurt me many times, but I love you. I try to tell you in the quiet, green grass. I whisper it in the leaves and trees and breathe it in the color of the flowers.  I shout it to you in the mountain streams, and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air. My love for you is deeper than the oceans and bigger than the biggest want or need you could ever have. If you would trust in me we could spend eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on earth. I really know because I was there, and I want to help you. My Father wants to help you too. He’
