New Year, New Beginning

I can’t believe 2013 is here already…. Time goes by really fast. Time is priceless and cannot be earned. What are you doing with your time? Are you making a difference, setting a good example with others and being who God called you to be? This is a time to start fresh… begin with day 01 and write new goals that will make a difference. This is a new year to start over and change things in our lives that need to be changed. This is a new beginning, time to stop bad habits and start good ones. Also be more polite to people even if some of them are rude. Saying please and thank you and even you’re welcome. Good manners make a huge difference in our lives and can take us a long way.  They can open doors that might otherwise be closed. Have more boundaries in your life, don’t allow people to walk all over you. Let your no be no and your yes be yes, but not in a rude way. So let’s start 2013 with a clean slate and be who we are supposed to be in Christ. I pray that you will meet your goals by the time 2013 ends.

Hit The Delete Button

The other day I was watching Joel Osteen on television and he was talking about deleting negative things people may say about us. A lot of times we accept negative criticism that people say to us like, “you are never going to amount to anything in life; you’re never going to be the person you think you  are going to be when you grow up (doctor, lawyer, etc.)”.  When people keep talking about us negatively and we listen, we start believing it. We start saying to ourselves that I would never ever be able to do that. I don’t have the capability to do that at my skill level. Now we’re so deep in our own negative thoughts that down the line we’re never going to be who God called us to be in life. Instead of receiving negative comments from people, we need to delete them. You ask how, by saying the opposite. I will be that when I grow up. I am at that skill level to get that job. Never give up when you’re trying to reach your goals. When people say no never give up and keep pushing towa

Looking Forward

By Joyce Meyer Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people…. But they would not listen to and obey Me or bend their ear [to Me], but followed the counsels and the stubborn promptings of their own evil hearts and minds, and they turned their backs and went in reverse instead of forward.                                                                                    Jeremiah 7:23-24 I believe you are going to act on these devotional readings and begin living boldly and fearlessly as a confident woman. It doesn't matter how you lived before now, this is a new beginning. Every day God’s mercy is new, and it is available for all of us today. Don’t look back; look forward! Be decisive, follow your heart, and don’t be overly concerned about what other people think of you and your decisions. Most of them are not thinking about you as much as you might imagine that they are anyway. Don’t live constantly comparing yourself with o
