LOVING OURSELVES THE WAY GOD LOVES US

But who are you, o man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

                                                                                                                                Romans 9:20 - 21

It’s something how young girls today are not satisfied by the way God made them. They want to look like the woman on TV and in the magazines or like their other friends. First of all, God made everybody beautifully and unique. He wants us to appreciate the way He made us. Like I said in the early message could you imagine if everybody was the same? God knew what He was doing when He made us. He wanted us to have our own unique look. We need to thank Him for making us unique and beautiful. Every day you need to look in the mirror and say God thank you for making me who I am. It’s sad when girls don’t like the way God made them. You might not want to think this way but, when you don’t like yourselves you are slapping God in the face by thinking that God made a mistake or that He did a bad job. I know that you don’t mean to do that, so you need to start thanking Him. Don’t be concerned about how other people look. Second, the young girls you see on TV and in the magazine are people that are either covered with makeup or airbrushed. They also starve themselves in an unhealthy manner just to please others themselves. You can’t compare yourselves with these young girls in Hollywood. Be proud of the way God made you.

In what ways are you proud about yourself?

  1. I have always been pretty comfortable in my skin, but there were always things that I hoped would change, like my "cherubic" face. Luckily, I figured out that that's not going to change and it's what makes me, me. I've accepted the fact that I look young and "cute" and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I am me, and that is how it is meant to be!

    1. Amen. It's great when we have that younger look. By the time we turn 40, we look like where in our 20's. Everybody always think I'm younger then I look.

  2. For awhile I had to have positive verses written on mirrors and note cards to block out the negativity because of the way I used to feel about myself. It took a lot of time with the Word and prayer and speaking aloud to myself to finally understand my true worth in God's eyes. I finally understood who I am but most importantly WHOSE I am and I am happy to say that (while not perfect always) I have a healthy self-image. It's sad because even in churches most women have low self images. Great post! Thanks for visiting my site! :)

Hit The Delete Button

The other day I was watching Joel Osteen on television and he was talking about deleting negative things people may say about us. A lot of times we accept negative criticism that people say to us like, “you are never going to amount to anything in life; you’re never going to be the person you think you  are going to be when you grow up (doctor, lawyer, etc.)”.  When people keep talking about us negatively and we listen, we start believing it. We start saying to ourselves that I would never ever be able to do that. I don’t have the capability to do that at my skill level. Now we’re so deep in our own negative thoughts that down the line we’re never going to be who God called us to be in life. Instead of receiving negative comments from people, we need to delete them. You ask how, by saying the opposite. I will be that when I grow up. I am at that skill level to get that job. Never give up when you’re trying to reach your goals. When people say no never give up and keep pushing towa

Watch God Work!

By: Joyce Meyer Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today… The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.                                                                                       Exodus 14:13-14 We have free access to God. We can go before Him anytime we want to. We don’t need a special invitation. The throne room is always open, God is always home, He is never napping or on the phone. We can go boldly, expecting Him to meet our need and do it willingly and joyfully. No doubt millions of people pray, but the question we want answered is, how do they pray? Do they pray expectantly, boldly, fearlessly, confidently, aggressively, or ashamed, condemned, asking for barely enough to get by on and seriously doubting if they will even get that? You go, girl! Start praying like you have never prayed before. Believe that God wan
