Part 1: You can Love Others The Way God Loves You

Learning how to love people is the most important thing that a Christian should be concerned about. But there’s something we often overlook. You see, after we’re born again, we hear that we should be loving people. Yet, we don’t seem to be able to do it and we think something’s wrong with us. Well, there are other phases of the love walk you have to go through before you can ever get around to loving people.

Number one, you really need to have a revelation about how much God loves you. It’s not enough to know about the love of God. You need to receive God’s love through personal experience.

Then you have to learn to love yourself. In other words, are you happy with the creation God made you to be? Or have you been trying to rework yourself into what you think the world wants to see?

Third, you have to learn how to love God. And loving God means one thing: obedience. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). After we've received His love, it just becomes natural to do what He tells us to do. Let’s take a closer look at each step so we can really learn how to live in the love of God.

1) RECEIVING REVELATION ABOUT GOD’S LOVE I think a whole lot of people know how to sing, “Jesus loves me, this I know, “but they don’t know down deep in their heart that God loves them. So when everything is going good in their life, they may think God loves them. But when life gets hard, they begin to wonder where God is and if He ever loved them at all.

We need to get God’s love from our head down to our heart; where it becomes revelation. Then it doesn't matter what the enemy tells us, what other people may say, or what our circumstances may be we just know. And we know it so strongly that it can never be taken away from us.

How does a person receive revelation knowledge? I believe we need to actually, physically take time in our life to meet with God and receive it.

You know how a pig just wallows in the mud? They don’t care what they look like. They just go in there and get it all over them. Well, we need to spend time wallowing in the love of God. We need to soak in the love of God and get saturated in it.

A lot of people try to get God to love them by trying to behave perfectly. But God is love and all He wants us to do is act as receptacle of His love, and to simple take in what’s being freely offered.

Hit The Delete Button

The other day I was watching Joel Osteen on television and he was talking about deleting negative things people may say about us. A lot of times we accept negative criticism that people say to us like, “you are never going to amount to anything in life; you’re never going to be the person you think you  are going to be when you grow up (doctor, lawyer, etc.)”.  When people keep talking about us negatively and we listen, we start believing it. We start saying to ourselves that I would never ever be able to do that. I don’t have the capability to do that at my skill level. Now we’re so deep in our own negative thoughts that down the line we’re never going to be who God called us to be in life. Instead of receiving negative comments from people, we need to delete them. You ask how, by saying the opposite. I will be that when I grow up. I am at that skill level to get that job. Never give up when you’re trying to reach your goals. When people say no never give up and keep pushing towa

Looking Forward

By Joyce Meyer Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people…. But they would not listen to and obey Me or bend their ear [to Me], but followed the counsels and the stubborn promptings of their own evil hearts and minds, and they turned their backs and went in reverse instead of forward.                                                                                    Jeremiah 7:23-24 I believe you are going to act on these devotional readings and begin living boldly and fearlessly as a confident woman. It doesn't matter how you lived before now, this is a new beginning. Every day God’s mercy is new, and it is available for all of us today. Don’t look back; look forward! Be decisive, follow your heart, and don’t be overly concerned about what other people think of you and your decisions. Most of them are not thinking about you as much as you might imagine that they are anyway. Don’t live constantly comparing yourself with o

Watch God Work!

By: Joyce Meyer Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today… The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.                                                                                       Exodus 14:13-14 We have free access to God. We can go before Him anytime we want to. We don’t need a special invitation. The throne room is always open, God is always home, He is never napping or on the phone. We can go boldly, expecting Him to meet our need and do it willingly and joyfully. No doubt millions of people pray, but the question we want answered is, how do they pray? Do they pray expectantly, boldly, fearlessly, confidently, aggressively, or ashamed, condemned, asking for barely enough to get by on and seriously doubting if they will even get that? You go, girl! Start praying like you have never prayed before. Believe that God wan
