NOT ONE MORE NIGHT WITH THE FROGS

YOU CAN PUT THE PAST BEHIND YOU but YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE. By Joyce Meyer In Exodus 8, Moses demanded that Pharaoh let his people go, but Pharaoh refused. So God sent plagues, one after another. One of the plagues was frogs. Frogs were everywhere: in the rivers, in people's houses, in their beds, even frogs in the dough people used to make bread. And when Pharaoh finally said, "I get it," and agreed to release the Israelites, Moses asked, "When would you like to be rid of the frogs? Pharoah answered, "Tomorrow." Now, why would anyone want to spend one more night with frogs?! ARE THERE "FROGS" IN YOUR LIFE? Like the plague of frogs making the Egyptians miserable, there can be things in our lives-self-pity, anger, bitterness, depression-that we carry around with us everywhere we go, making us miserable. Maybe as a child you weren't given love and attention, or you experienced a lot of verbal abuse or physical abuse. Or like me, yo...

CHOOSE BOLDNESS

HOW TO EXPERIENCE GOD’S INCREDIBLE PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE BY JOYCE MEYER God has great plans for our lives. It’s exciting when He puts dreams and desires in our hearts, but it can also be challenging. Because fear always comes against us when we try new things. That’s how the enemy tries to keep us from moving forward—through fear. But instead of giving in to our fears, we can choose to be bold, confident and courageous through Christ. It’s important to understand that courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’d moving forward when you feel afraid. And if we will do that, God will lead us straight through our fears into His perfect will for our lives. God doesn’t want us to live timid, shy, weak, wimpy, fearful, boring lives. He wants us to be bold, confident and courageous, unafraid to try new things. And it never ceases to amaze me what God will do through a person who simply steps out in faith. In the Bible, Joshua is great example of someone who took a step of faith ...

A Lifestyle of Authentic Peace

I can’t overemphasize the importance of peace as a real and practical benefit of our covenant relationship with God. His peace should not be an infrequent surprise but an ongoing rule of our lives. The apostle Paul underscored the essential nature of peace in 2 Thessalonians 3:16.  Did you notice how crucial he considered peace to be? “At all times.” “In every way,” Peace can be possible in any situation. Isaiah used the word peace twenty-six times. God continually promised peace when His captives returned wholeheartedly to the Lord. The familiar messianic passage, Isaiah 9:6, identifies peace with Christ as the “Prince of Peace,” The next verse connects the Prince of Peace to His reign: Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne. Many of us have memorized the words of Isaiah 26:3: You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trust in you. Did you see any hints of a common denominator tryin...
