Faith to Do It

For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.
                                                                               Romans 12:3




When God told Abraham to leave his home and relatives, Abraham first had to go out before God would show him the destination (Genesis 12:1). As was true of Abraham, God has given each of us “a measure of faith.” For whatever we need to do, we have the faith to do it; but for faith to work, we have to release our faith, and the way we lease it is to go in obedience. We have to go with our dreams despite all the “what ifs” and the doubts from the enemy. When we make our steps, God shows up.
Don’t live another week when you never follow your dreams and heart. I cried a swimming pool of tears to get where I am, and no one was cheering for me, but I am happy and I love my life today. I remember when I woke up in the morning and wished it was time to go to bed, but not anymore. God’s rewards are overwhelming.

Lord, You have given me a measure of faith, and I want to live according to it. Help me to follow my heart today and not be hesitant with doubts.
Amen.

Hit The Delete Button

The other day I was watching Joel Osteen on television and he was talking about deleting negative things people may say about us. A lot of times we accept negative criticism that people say to us like, “you are never going to amount to anything in life; you’re never going to be the person you think you  are going to be when you grow up (doctor, lawyer, etc.)”.  When people keep talking about us negatively and we listen, we start believing it. We start saying to ourselves that I would never ever be able to do that. I don’t have the capability to do that at my skill level. Now we’re so deep in our own negative thoughts that down the line we’re never going to be who God called us to be in life. Instead of receiving negative comments from people, we need to delete them. You ask how, by saying the opposite. I will be that when I grow up. I am at that skill level to get that job. Never give up when you’re trying to reach your goals. God Loves Imperfect People

In this world we live in today, there are so many standards to live up too. The choices we make about our way of living in this world. It’s no since thing to be a perfect person, the only one that is perfect is Jesus Christ. Some people always have something to say, when we don’t do things their way. Our friends are quick to judge when we choose to do the right things in our life. People will turn their back on you, but God is always on your side. God loves you just the way you are, He won’t change anything about you, the way people will do in life. God won’t give up on you, when you’re not living a perfect lifestyle.
