Personal Integrity

By: Joyce Meyer

When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.

                                                                                             Proverbs 11:2-3

We live in a society that has so lost its sense of moral values that common decency is often not even practiced. Our world no longer honors God and is not concerned about integrity. Whether it involves cheating or committing fraud or specking half-truths and exaggerations that lead others to believe something that is not true, our culture is saturated with the lies of the enemy.
As believers, we live in the world but are not to be of the world (John 17:11,14). If we want to walk in confidence, we cannot compromise our integrity and act as the world does. Integrity is “affirm adherence to a code or standard of values.” Our code is the Word of God. There are certain things we wouldn’t even think of doing, but there are too many compromises, even in the lives of God’s people. There are things we do that Jesus would not do, and He is our standard of integrity.
Integrity is being committed to a life of excellence, as our God is excellent. It is doing the right thing every time, no matter what it costs us.

Hit The Delete Button

The other day I was watching Joel Osteen on television and he was talking about deleting negative things people may say about us. A lot of times we accept negative criticism that people say to us like, “you are never going to amount to anything in life; you’re never going to be the person you think you  are going to be when you grow up (doctor, lawyer, etc.)”.  When people keep talking about us negatively and we listen, we start believing it. We start saying to ourselves that I would never ever be able to do that. I don’t have the capability to do that at my skill level. Now we’re so deep in our own negative thoughts that down the line we’re never going to be who God called us to be in life. Instead of receiving negative comments from people, we need to delete them. You ask how, by saying the opposite. I will be that when I grow up. I am at that skill level to get that job. Never give up when you’re trying to reach your goals. When people say no never give up and keep pushing towa

Looking Forward

By Joyce Meyer Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people…. But they would not listen to and obey Me or bend their ear [to Me], but followed the counsels and the stubborn promptings of their own evil hearts and minds, and they turned their backs and went in reverse instead of forward.                                                                                    Jeremiah 7:23-24 I believe you are going to act on these devotional readings and begin living boldly and fearlessly as a confident woman. It doesn't matter how you lived before now, this is a new beginning. Every day God’s mercy is new, and it is available for all of us today. Don’t look back; look forward! Be decisive, follow your heart, and don’t be overly concerned about what other people think of you and your decisions. Most of them are not thinking about you as much as you might imagine that they are anyway. Don’t live constantly comparing yourself with o
