Mission Accomplished!!!

I wrote a post in January about my new year’s resolution that I will teach myself how to crochet, but my mom told me that I should learn how to knit first. So I took her advice and bought a book for beginners and the things I needed to get started. Every day and night I would take my time and practice. It's really relaxing, comfortable and fun, even if I didn't know what I was doing! When I first started knitting I kept dropping stitches and by the time I was finished with the practice piece it had a lot of runs in it lol. I kept going and didn't stop practicing. Once I got really good at it my work started looking like a master pieces. I really bought the best book on how to knit which was easy to follow. A lot of times you can buy teaching books that are really hard to understand. Because they are so difficult you either want to quit or put things on hold for a long time. In my case I didn't have that problem, thank you Lord!  Once I completed the entire lesson in t…

Take the Step

By: Joyce Meyer
[Jesus] said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.                                                                               Matthew 14:29

Perhaps the boat you need to get out of is your past. Sometimes we get so addicted to murmuring about the past and blaming the past for everything that we miss our whole future. Anything you have to keep hidden has power over you. You are not going to ever be free if you just keep running away from your past. You have to confront and deal with it. No one is going to come along and do it for you. Jesus is calling you out of the boat. God has given you His power, and His Spirit is dwelling in you, so you can do things that are hard to do. Y…

How to live Christ-like-lesson 2

How to live a Christ-like life

This is the second lesson of the outline previously presented. If you have not yet gone over the first one, please take the time to do that first.  Like baseball, you can’t make it home if you don’t touch first base first!!  Jesus is first base, so don’t pass Him by.

2.  Study the word of God – 2 Timothy 2:15

God has given us all the instructions and guidelines we need to live a peaceful, successful, magnificent lives, but we have to open the instruction manual to know what it says.  If you buy anything that needs to be put together, you could just throw it up the way you think it should go, or if you are wise, you would follow the directions of the person that created the item.Well, since God created us, wouldn’t it make sense to follow the plans that He has for us???
2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to study to show ourselves approved unto God.  What that means is that when we put God first and take the time to really study His word, apply it to our lives and t…
