Watch God Work!

By: Joyce Meyer Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today… The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.                                                                                       Exodus 14:13-14 We have free access to God. We can go before Him anytime we want to. We don’t need a special invitation. The throne room is always open, God is always home, He is never napping or on the phone. We can go boldly, expecting Him to meet our need and do it willingly and joyfully. No doubt millions of people pray, but the question we want answered is, how do they pray? Do they pray expectantly, boldly, fearlessly, confidently, aggressively, or ashamed, condemned, asking for barely enough to get by on and seriously doubting if they will even get that? You go, girl! Start praying like you have never prayed before. Believe that God wan

Reeses and I - The Waiting Game

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!                                                                                                                                        Psalm 27:13 I always prayed to God about getting a puppy. I never gave up even after a few years had passed by, I just kept thanking Him in advance. Then one day we got a call that this young lady was selling Chihuahuas. So my mom and I went to her house and picked out our puppy, we even named him. We couldn't bring him home yet, because he had not been weaned from his mother. We had to wait a few weeks to bring our new puppy home. The lady called us a week after we had been there and said that we could get our puppy. My mom and I knew that it was too early to bring him home and she only wanted the money. So my mom told her we wouldn't be getting the puppy, it was just too early to bring home. I was so close to getting a p

Day of silence

Silence is SO Important

My prayers  and heart go out to the families, God is with them.  ________________________________________________________________________ To the Blog World and Anyone Else who Wants to Help, Yesterday, tragedy struck so many of us in ways we did not foresee. An elementary school and small town in Connecticut was shattered by a mass shooting. We knew we wanted to help and we came up with this: On Tuesday, December 18th, there will be a blogger day of silence. We will post the button and that's it. Please try to not post anything else that day if possible.  We are also raising money that will go to an organization in the memory of this tragedy. The organization is called  The Newtown Family Youth and Family Services . Here is the official description of the support service we are donating to: "Newtown Youth and Family Services, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit, mental health clinic and youth services bureau dedicated to helping children

Be Glad

By Joyce Meyer Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord, your God; for He gives you the former or early rain in just measure and in righteousness, and He causes to come down for you the rain, the former rain  and the latter rain, as before. And the [threshing] floors shall be full of grain and the vats shall overflow with juice [of the grape] and oil.                                                                                                                      Joel 2:23-24 So many times our outward appearance shows the way we’re feeling inside. But it can also work the other way! When we look confident on the outside, we can feel more confident on the inside. When you walk, stand upright. Don’t slump your shoulders and hang your head down. You are full of life of God, so act like it! Live with passion, zeal and enthusiasm. Don’t just try to “make it” through the day. Celebrate the day. Say, “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and

LOVING OURSELVES THE WAY GOD LOVES US

But who are you, o man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?                                                                                                                                 Romans 9:20 - 21 It’s something how young girls today are not satisfied by the way God made them. They want to look like the woman on TV and in the magazines or like their other friends. First of all, God made everybody beautifully and unique. He wants us to appreciate the way He made us. Like I said in the early message could you imagine if everybody was the same? God knew what He was doing when He made us. He wanted us to have our own unique look. We need to thank Him for making us unique and beautiful. Every day you need to look in the mirror and say God thank you for making me who I am. It

Looking Forward

By Joyce Meyer Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people…. But they would not listen to and obey Me or bend their ear [to Me], but followed the counsels and the stubborn promptings of their own evil hearts and minds, and they turned their backs and went in reverse instead of forward.                                                                                    Jeremiah 7:23-24 I believe you are going to act on these devotional readings and begin living boldly and fearlessly as a confident woman. It doesn't matter how you lived before now, this is a new beginning. Every day God’s mercy is new, and it is available for all of us today. Don’t look back; look forward! Be decisive, follow your heart, and don’t be overly concerned about what other people think of you and your decisions. Most of them are not thinking about you as much as you might imagine that they are anyway. Don’t live constantly comparing yourself with o
